Understanding that the Bible interpreted at face value as the Word of God is our full statement of faith. The church acknowledges that the Scriptures alone are the final and sufficient guide to faith and practice. We believe.
The Word of God, the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testament, supernaturally given to man through verbal and plenary inspiration in the original manuscripts, and that it is inerrant and thus preserved by God so that it is the supreme and final authority and standard in all matters of faith and practice (Proverbs 30:5, Matthew 5:18, 24:35, 2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 1:1-2, 1 Peter 1:21).
God exists in three persons; the Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that these three are one God: coequal, eternal and divine (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Matthew 28:19, John 1:1-14, Colossians 2:9-10, 1 John 5:7).
Man is totally incapable of removing his own sinful nature: the God, by His Sovereign choice and out of love for man, sent Christ into the world to save sinners and that salvation is purely by God’s grace through the exercise of our faith in Christ’s single, perfect and supreme sacrifice and atonement of sin (Habakkuk 2:3-4, John 3:16, Romans 5:8, Galatians 3:11, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, Hebrews 9:26-28, 10:10-18).
Jesus Christ is the second part of the Trinity; evidenced by being the only begotten son of God who was sent from heaven to be born of a virgin and to be the only savior of mankind (John 1:1-3), His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15), substitutionary death through the shedding of His blood for the forgiveness of sins (2 Corinthians 5:21), bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-43), and ascension into heaven, present ministry (Hebrews 4:14-16) and His imminent return for His redeemed ones (Acts 1:11).
The Holy Spirit is the third part of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is an existing personality who “convicts us of sin and righteousness and judgment” (John 16:7-15, Acts 5:3-4), bringing man to repentance; baptism and indwelling at the moment of regeneration (1 Corinthians 12:13), filling to empower for a Christian life and service (Ephesians 3:16, Romans 8:9), and to unify the body (Ephesians 4:4-6, 1 Corinthians 14:33).
As sin will interrupt the believer’s fellowship with God and the fullness of the spirit, a Christian should strive to lead a life of righteousness and separation unto God from the evil ways of the world (Titus 2:11-14). Manifested by speaking the truth (James 5:12), maintaining the sanctity of the home (Ephesians 5:22-26, 6:4), not engaging in carnal strife but showing a Christ-like attitude toward all men (Romans 12:17-21), maintaining a life of prayer and to grow in spiritual maturity through faith, obedience to the word of God (John 10:28, Hebrews 12:6, Ephesians 4:13).
The Triune God is absolute, sole creator of the universe according to the account in Genesis (Genesis 1 & 2, John 1:1-3).
A Christian should observe the ordinances of our Lord Jesus Christ, which are: baptism of believers by immersion (Matthew 28:19) and participation in the observance of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11: 13-26).
Man is created in the image of God, that he willfully disobeyed and thereby, incurred eternal spiritual death, damnation, and separation from God, as well as physical death and a sinful nature as a direct consequence of Adam’s sin which necessitated a new birth for our salvation (Genesis 3:1-6, Romans 3:10-19, 5:12, Ephesians 2:1-3, John 3:3-5).
The church is the body of believers that has a mission, which is to bring the message to the world that a man is a sinner and is in need of a savior. The church is the one true church, the body and the bride of Christ under his headship (Ephesians 1:22-23), composed of all true believers of the present age (1 Corinthian 12:12-13) and the organization of its members in local churches for worship, for edification of believers and for world-wide gospel witness. Each local church being autonomous but cooperating in fellowship and work (Ephesians 4:11-16), to set policy to avoid confusion and disunity (1 Corinthians 14:40).
His, creation, fall and existence as the great adversary of God and His people, the prince of this world system and the accuser of the brethren before God, whose judgment will be eternal doom and damnation in the lake of fire before the throne of God (Job 1:7-12, 2:2-7, John 12:31, Revelation 12:1-10, 20:2, 20:10).
The conscious existence of the dead (Philippians 1:21-23, Luke 16:19-31), the resurrection of the body (John 5:28-29), the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the punishment of the lost (John 1:27-29, 3:16-18, 14:1-6, 1 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
God created humans, male and female, gave human sexuality as a good gift and designed marriage as the life-long exclusive union of one man and one women, both in gender from birth, and as the only legitimate human sexual relationship, to be held in honor among all people. Therefore, all other human sexual relationship, as well as lust in the heart for the same, are against God’s design and against His moral Law (Genesis 2:24, Leviticus 18:1-30, Romans 1:26-29, 1 Corinthians 6:9)
